"Le Vieux Moulin" was my very first client website, created as part of my web design course. It was developed for a Belgian non-profit organization that promotes cultural and local activities. The site was fully built with WordPress, using tools like ACF (Advanced Custom Fields) and Polylang for multilingual support. The modular structure allows the client to update content easily and independently.
Goals
The main goal was to create a functional, clean, and visually appealing website that met the client’s needs: showcasing events, history, and services in multiple languages. This project also allowed me to apply my technical skills in a real-world setting, by building a custom, responsive interface that is both accessible and user-friendly.
Difficulties
Since this was my first real client project, I faced several challenges: creating from scratch a whole website for a client and managing dynamic content with ACF. I also had to troubleshoot unexpected bugs and learn to manage my time effectively.
