This project is the first version of my personal portfolio. I created it for my Web Design exam, where I had to present it to a jury. The goal was to show that I could build a custom WordPress theme, use ACF Pro correctly, and structure my code with the BEM methodology. The visual theme was already based on flowers, which is still close to the direction of my current portfolio.
Goals
The objective was to design and develop a portfolio that could present my work in a clear and creative way. I wanted the website to feel personal, soft, and coherent with the floral theme, while still keeping a professional structure. It also had to prove that I understood how to organize WordPress templates, custom fields, and reusable components properly.
Difficulties
One of the main difficulties was creating an animated flower stem that would grow depending on the user’s scroll. I wanted the visual element to evolve as the visitor moved through the page, but I was not able to make it work exactly as planned. Instead, I decided to keep the stem as a visual element and focus on making the projects appear progressively while scrolling.
